Sitting with the Fish (6:13)
Unassuming and unaffected vocals merge with the motorik rhythms of German Kosmische… Like Rozi Plain fronting Neu with occasional glimpses of the more pastoral offerings from Broadcast. Not too say there is no edge to the music… there is a palpable sense of grit and energy driving the mood.

Sheep Count (6:07)
Holly enters dreamspace over an ascending keys motif, flying over fields “with the attention of an eagle”.  A swooning middle eight brings to mind My Bloody Valentine, and the playful outro is a free-associating delight.

I’d Like To Meet Her (4:27)
A waspy synth loop is set up as a foundation for this paean to a mysterious ‘night owl’ entity, who makes “all the trees bend backwards” when she sings. The end section happily goes in the direction of euphoric vocal harmonising as the praise for this entity ramps up!

Rituals (6:11)
A simple, almost naive keyboard riff pulses throughout the tune in bold contrast to the feral guitars and percussion which send the music stratospheric. More wistful vocals are reminiscent of Stereolab in their more ethereal and mesmerising moments.

Steep and Slow (2:45)
A hazy, lazy interlude featuring soft, fuzzy analogue synth lines and hummed voices that tap into some of the laconic and melodic stylings of Pavement… soporific dream pop

Margate (7:58)
Retro keyboard sounds and hushed vocals propel the music along whilst a swirling cacophony of arpeggios and bleeps crash and swell underneath… evoking the waves against the beach of the titular location
